Positive Behaviour Support (2 Days)

Do you have trouble understanding why your child displaying challenging behaviour and dont know what to do? This 2-day workshop introduces you  to a positive approach to challenging behaviour using CBI’s person centred approach (Lifestyle Development Process). In this practical, interactive, exercise based workshop you will gain the knowledge and skills to understand the challenging behaviour of your focus person and to select the most appropriate  support strategies.

You will be guided to develop and complete the following:

• A comprehensive Personal Profile, including learning and communication profiles
• A Functional Behaviour Assessment based on challenging behaviours of concern which identifies slow & fast triggers of the behaviour and consequences that are maintaining the behaviour
• Identify proactive positive strategies to support the person and address the challenging behaviour
• Consider ways to teach new appropriate behaviours to replace the challenging behaviours.
