1A. Inclusion 101: Who?, What?, Where?, and Why?

This one-day workshop explains the rationale for including all students in general education settings. Four components needed for successful inclusion are described and illustrated: Integration, academic participation, social participation, and supports for participation. Slides and videotapes are used to support the information provided. The emphasis is on inclusion of students with severe physical and intellectual disabilities.

Target Audience: parents/guardians of school-aged children; school district administrators, general and special education teachers, educational assistants, support personnel

1B. IEP Planning in Inclusive Settings

This one-day workshop provides a systematic process for determining curricular and instructional priorities that can be included in IEPs. The workshop ?rst introduces a strategy for generating a personal pro?le of the target student. A format for conducting a family prioritization interview is presented as a way of involving families in the IEP planning process. Strategies for integrating instructional priorities into the general education classroom and planning long-term supports are also included.

1C. Intensive Course on Inclusion

CBI Consultants also offers a 36 hour training course for school districts desiring more extensive training in the area of inclusion.
